About CO2 Laser
“Results So Natural, It Will Be Your Best Kept Secret™”
Dr. Chang uses a CO2 laser that works by removing deeper layers of the damaged skin while stimulating the regeneration of a healthy layer underneath. The laser technology uses pulsed Fc, or scattered light beams, to remove the dead skin cells. This scattered light beam allows for the powerful carbon dioxide laser to penetrate deep into the skin to remove fine lines and wrinkles. As the epidermis heals and regrows, the areas treated will appear smoother and firmer.
During your consultation, Dr. Chang will discuss your options for laser resurfacing based on your skin type, texture, and cosmetic skin concerns.
CO2 Laser by Dr. Catherine Chang, MD, FACS is an effective treatment for treating deeper wrinkles, lines, and scars. This type of laser procedure can be used around the eyes, mouth, and entire face.

Patients can return home the same day after CO2 laser treatment. Patients are discharged with a facial dressing, which is usually left on for the first night. When removed the next day, the skin will have a sun-burned appearance. This will last from four to seven days, depending on the depth of exfoliation performed.
