Ear surgery, also known as ear pinning or otoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure that creates a more aesthetic shape, size, and projection of the ear structure, in balance, and proportionate. Advanced Surgical Techniques

Otoplasty expert Dr. Chang performs ear pinning procedures either awake using local anesthesia as an in-office procedure or in an accredited surgery center under general anesthesia. The incisions are hidden behind the ear and precise measurements are used to provide the most natural-looking results.

What does the procedure entail?

Ear surgery takes typically 40 to 45 minutes per ear. During the procedure, Dr. Chang will correct the particular ear problem and determine the exact technique to be used. An incision is then made behind the ear, after which skin is removed and the cartilage is folded back on itself with stitches, thus reshaping the ear without removing cartilage.

After Otoplasty Surgery

Patients can return home the same day after Otoplasty surgery. To help promote the best healing, a bandage is wrapped around the head immediately after surgery. Bruising and swelling are typically minimal. Most adult patients are usually able to return to work within 3 days after surgery.

Dr. Chang is AMAZING.
